    3. David has a good point -- many local genealogical societies do not phone numbers or offices or anyone who can handle e-mail queries. I don't think we should put private individual's PHONE numbers up on the Web. We also don't want to run the risk of offending local genealogical groups -- we want their cooperation, not their distrust. I fear that too many people using the internet are overwhelming genealogists and librarians with their personal research questions -- expecting instant answers instead of learning to do work themselves. The Genealogist's Address Book is the latest listing of genealogical societies nationwide, but the local library can usually provide that information. Myra
