WS FTP 5.08 is still free to use. It's the new WS FTP 6.0 upgrade that isn't free to non-commercial home users. I am now using Seagull FTP and it is absolutely free. One of the nice things about it is that it does not allow you to save an item of same name over other item of same name without giving you a warning and asking if that is really what you want to do. I found it fairly easy to learn to use the necessities and think it is a better program than the WS FTP anyway...at least so far.
