Where would I look to find out about these papers? Actually, I'm interested in finding out abt the judge in these Chahta Nation Tribal Crt. Records - Wm. STEWART. Here's an excerpt from the papers/records: TRIBAL COURT RECORDS OF THE CHOCTAW NATION IN INDIAN TERRITORY, 1852-1858 This information has been transcribed from a small, red book, containing about 34 pages. It is located in the library of the Oklahoma Historical Society, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma BLUE COUNTY, PUSHMATAHA DISTRICT, CHOCTAW NATION The Choctaw Nation was divided into three ( poitical ) districts in 1834. In 1850 those districts were sub-divided into counties. Pushmatawa District was divided into four counties, one of which was BLUE COUNTY. The first Blue County Court record appears dated April 27,1852, ____________ I've never heard of Blue Co. before.
