    3. I'm not 100% sure of the exact details, but when you have a domain name you have to have a permanent URL for it. That means you have to have a permanent place for it to reside on the web. If you have a DSL connection or a cable modem you can use your own computer to host the site, as long as you DON"T have dynamic IP addresses. With our satellite connection we can't host our own site, it uses dynamic IP addresses. Most of the companies that are offering the domain names will host your site for a nominal fee. Some places that host websites, like Geocities [ don't know if they do but think they can ], are able to be the host of the site.
