Archives TOC all go back to the archive directory [http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ok/pushmataha/pushmataha.html], not to the OKGenWeb county directory [http://www.rootsweb.com/~okpushma/]. Bob Chada wrote on 5/22/2002: >As far as what you are allowed to link to in the archives from your Pushmataha >OKGenWeb page, that is OKGenWeb's question to answer, not mine. <snip> -=Marti replied =- Even though the Oklahoma State File Managers new guidelines [http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~tammie/archives/guidelines.html] make the link to the companion OKGenWeb County * optional * and will * not * allow a link to the main OKGenWeb site from any _county_ archive page, OKGenWeb has no such policy of prohibiting links to the archive pages. OKGenWeb encourages links from the county page to the companion archives page to aid the researcher, not hinder them in their search for information. If you would like to have the information found on your county site, contact the submitter and ask permission to post the information at the county level also. Information that is repeated is more likely to be found by the researcher. The original goal of "The Project" was to build a site, maintain and add to it yourself and/or by submissions from others for as long as you could, pass the site to another to add to and continue the work of building a great site to help researchers now and in the future. I still agree and believe in the original goal. Marti
