Lucille McAllister, the packrat who started OKGenWeb's Maps 'n' More with her parents' 1915 Railroad Atlas, passed away today. I will not label this "Sad News", because it happened as she wished -- at home, surrounded by loved ones. I do plan to maintain <A HREF="http://ceil.rootsweb.com/">Ceil's Corner</A>, our area study centered on northeastern Oklahoma, southeastern Logan, and western Lincoln Counties -- so there is no need to delete any links you may have set. But I expect to be out of touch for at least a few days so ask for your indulgence. Sharon McAllister

I followed up with the link mentioned and thought you might want to add this to the Muskogee and Oklahoma sites. I'll include both the award link and the Black Town Tour link for you to look at. The awards will soon be over but if Black Town Tour wins a link to the Smithsonian site about it might be nice. > Awards: http://www.sustainabletourismawards.com/ > > Black Town Tour: http://www.blacktownstour.com/

Who: Sharon Crawford When: Now Where: Online As many of you know Sharon created the OKBits site several years ago and has collected many many obituaries and photos for the Oklahoma genealogical community. She has helped many researchers. She is also the talented creator of our Genie Angles graphics as well as several on the OKGenWeb site. She has always been a giver. Now Sharon needs us to give. Sharon has lung cancer and is just starting her chemo. Very soon she will be in need of hats and head coverings. Many of us want to "do something", but aren't sure what to do. So!!! We're giving her a Hat, Cap & Do-Rag Shower. See <http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~angels/hats.htm> Feel free to pass the link to other mailing list and friends. Marti OKGenWeb State Coordinator

Hey cuz, I got a couple wigs if you need one. You know, in some circles bald women are considered VERY sexy. (o:]>*HUGGLES*<[:o) Billie Walsh The three best words in the English Language: "I LOVE YOU" Pass them on!
Thought I would update everyone about my progress. Yesterday was the beginning of chemo which got off to a bumpy start as I turned out to be that of the 5 % that has a bad reaction to chemo meds. This has been fixed but because of it, my radiation treatments will be put on hold for a week or two to let my body regain strength from the chemo reaction. Within two weeks they said I should be bald, so cuz'n Billie you may want to dig out your camera <LOL> On an up note, it looks like I have lucked out by not suffering any nausea affects of chemotherapy. Another up side to this is how many times does doctors tell you to eat as much as you can, lay around, sleep and put on the weight? Thanks for all your prayers, Sharon Crawford
