    3. For safeties sake I keep all my web pages "mirrored" on my computer with (somewhat) frequent backups to disk. If something should happen to the server I can just upload one of the backups without losing much. 2. That's it for the flurry today, have to get back to "real work". During the past week or so my okgenweb@cox.net mailbox was being bombed at the rate of 500-800 messages a day. I was sick during that time too and didn't get to delete as often as I should have... result, I bounced off a number of list, including our OK-IT CC list and many messages were returned to the sender. If you wrote lately and didn't get a reply, please email me again. Thanks everyone for all the hard work you do!! Best, Marti

It actually helps settle some stories that our family had been holding on to for a long time. My Great Great Grandfather was Doctor Patterson (full name is actually Sterling Price Patterson), and we know he was shot by a Mr. Wade William's (the dispute was over Dr. Patterson's daughter), we never heard about what happened to Wade, only that Doctor Patterson's sons, David, Orban, and Troy went after him. Interesting and strange times back in those days when Oklahoma was still Indian Territory. We also have tales that we are of Indian descent and we have genetic characteristics, like teeth and feet that indicate it, but no paper work. 3. I receive from both archives and GenWeb so I get confused which listserv is which, but here goes my opinion. Links to other sites should be done by GenWeb sites. Archive sites should only use links for email addresses or in some cases web sites for contributors. Additional Archive links should be confined to links to State, US, and surrounding counties as well as links to the sister/brother Genweb site. If both sites start doing the same things, then there is really no reason to continue with both GenWeb and GenWeb Archives. Actually, I believe they should eventually be one site with documents being done in text and links and photos and special items being included as web pages or acrobat reader docs. So much for my thoughts... sharon ----- Original Message ----- From: <okchocta@yahoo.com> To: <OK-IT-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, February 24, 2004 6:28 PM Subject: [OK-Coordinators] cc question cont. > Thanks to the 4 cc's who responded to my question.
