    3. I agree with the 30 day time limit for contacting a cc. I have read this suggested policy and the comments that it has spawned. As you can see by the date, I'm almost beyond my 30 days just to respond! But it is important to consider that the 30 days starts when the state coordinator begins to try to contact the cc. The assumption is that a significant amount of time has already passed since the cc has contributed to any discussion or updated their county site. Also, this original message really didn't discuss any obligation the cc would have to inform people when they will be "out of pocket" for a time. I would hate to see this become a requirement. I travel extensively and I'm not able to sign on and update everyone on my whereabouts. We probably weren't considering making this a requirement (someone just mentioned it in their response comments), but lets not go there please. Using such goodies as 411 and switchboard on the net, a person can likely enter your email address and get your house address; you don't want to mix that with a public statement that nobody's home for the next X weeks. 3. I agree with Marti, and Mike. We need to do something, but let's try to be nice to the volunteers. I know that one time, I lost my computer, and did not know what was going on or how to contact anyone. Most of that problem I think is taken care of now, with the address and phone number thing. I suppose that there will be exceptions for those that get in touch, and let Marti know that there is some sort of problem. Ann

    3. I agree with the reasonable effort to contact the cc. I also think that the cc should let Marti or Megan know when they expect to be away for some period of time. I believe this to be a courtesy that only takes less than five minutes to accomplish and would eliminate any hard feelings from a cc that comes back to find that their web page is with someone else. I also would agree that when it is adopted then it is adopted, period. Harold D.
