Where would I look to find out about these papers? Actually, I'm interested in finding out abt the judge in these Chahta Nation Tribal Crt. Records - Wm. STEWART. Here's an excerpt from the papers/records: TRIBAL COURT RECORDS OF THE CHOCTAW NATION IN INDIAN TERRITORY, 1852-1858 This information has been transcribed from a small, red book, containing about 34 pages. It is located in the library of the Oklahoma Historical Society, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma BLUE COUNTY, PUSHMATAHA DISTRICT, CHOCTAW NATION The Choctaw Nation was divided into three ( poitical ) districts in 1834. In 1850 those districts were sub-divided into counties. Pushmatawa District was divided into four counties, one of which was BLUE COUNTY. The first Blue County Court record appears dated April 27,1852, ____________ I've never heard of Blue Co. before. My ISP sold out to earthlink and I understood them to say that they would leave my website where it was for another month, but I guess they didn't. So now I have new URLs for a couple of my counties. I was in the process of moving them to Rootsweb, but they aren't ready. Here's the new URLs. Rogers - The Queen is in. Congratulations and a big hug and kiss to you Redgie, we know that all the coordinator's work is a collaboration and so all of Pushmataha's people deserve a big pat on the back.

Fellow CCs, I don't mind if you take obits and/or articles from OKbits site and put on your "county pages" instead of just linking to them, but if you do please keep the original submitters name with the obit/article. If the obit/article doesn't list a submitters name than the article/obit was placed there by me and there is no need to add a submitter's name. Also you must add note that the article or obit came from the OKbits site along with the submitters name. If you don't want to go to this much trouble than please just link to the page the obit or article is on. Thanks, Sharon C.
