I recently acquired six photos of early Oklahom and am needing help in identifying them as well as the people in the pctures. Only one is a "copy" and shows the "Logan County High School, Guthri, OK 1904". The building resembles the present Logan County Court House (possibly the same architect built both), but there is no way of determing "where" in Guthie the HS was located. The other photos are as follows: - Post card photo taken of (a) WWI soldier in uniform, Writing on the back has (pre-printed) 'Carte Postal', (stamped within an oval) MICH?? Photograph 25, Cours Berriat Grenoble. Then handwritten - Mrs. Mary E. Blais From Earl March 30 1919; - Youth standing on a wicker chair, age about 3-4 years. Handwritten in upper left hand corner is the name "GOOTY", possibly taken about 1904-05 B.F Est??ll Photo; - Infant in (possibly) Christining gown, about 6 months. Infant is sitting on what appears to be a tapestry. Name on reverse is RUSSELL WILSON. **Note** This may be a 'death' photo that was taken of the baby as there does not appear to be any "life" in the eyes. Merytle(?) Photo, Crescent, OK; - Rather large photo of a "Fife & Drum" group. Young boys and men, ages from about 6 - early 20's. Photo taken early 1900's or very late 1890's. No photographer stamp, photo is an original, but no names are printed or written on the back, and there is no placquard telling us what group or where they were from. I will gladly send an attachment of any or all of the photos to anyone who may be interested in these pictures and with the exception of the Logan County HS photo I would like to see these pictures returned to family members.
