Just a note to those who access this list and place queries. As a person who does many lookups, it is very frustrating when people place queries without having done any research on thier own. It takes very little time to look at a state roadmap (or in an encyclopedia) to see what county a town is in. Don't place a query for Garfield county when the places of death and burial are in Muskogee County. This is a waste of the researcher's time. Just a thought......Mahlon Erickson, Payne County area genealogist

I replied and asked for more information if she wanted me to answer my query. She sent me back a message that listed about 8 counties they might be buried in, and could I check them out for her. Sorry, but I don't have the time to do that. Even if I had the books for all the counties. One of the people she was looking for died in 1978. Surely she had family members to ask. That was only 22 years ago. Gene
Hello Mahlon: I don't remember myself having asked a question which I could've answered myself with a little effort but I won't say I definitely am not guilty of such and I agree with your philosophy. I certainly will give more thought to asking for help in the future -- to make sure I've done my homework first.
