    3. Stephanie, I used the 1880 census as an example, and that would not be a good idea unless you are pretty sure that there are children under 10 in the household. For social security reasons, the soundex for that year only included the households that had children under 10. Of course, the regular 1880 census had everyone. Sorry I forgot to mention this yesterday. Penny
