Some suggestions to try: obituary (one to three weeks after death) resolution of condolence (1 to 2 months after death- from organizations he/she belonged to) probate record (estate or probate) land transfer (due to death) last appearance on voter registration rolls (may state dued and give date) last payment of taxes (if quarterly narrows to three month period) pension record (if veteran) Just a few ideas if those fine money takers at the State Dept. of Health don't find the death certificate for you and if the Funeral Home no longer exists.
