Would anyone have information on Graveyard Bluff Cemetery also known an Chickasaw Bluff Cemetery located on an island in Lake Texhoma south on Enville Ok??????????? ggggrandfather Edmund Pickens and two sons, Thomson and David are buried there. I have heard it is in bad shape. I would like to find out if there are any stone markers left. Or if anyone has been out there to know where on the island they would be. Any info would be helpful. Thanks Janit
Check the Love County Archives at http://www.rootsweb.com/usgenweb/ok/love/lovecem.htm and scroll to Love County Cemeteries, there you will find the descriptions, there are two listed at Ennville, neither on an island on the lake, though. We located an island south of Enville on the NW edge of Lake Texhoma in southern LOVE COUNTY. The map we have does not give a name for the island although there is a road on it. It is just NNW of the DELAWARE BEND in the Lake. It appears to be less than a mile from the Oklahoma shore. There is a church & cemetery just south of I-32 on the mainland as well.
