Have you tried Wills and Estates. If your grandmother bought the land in 1920, where did they live before that? Have you tried a Genealogy Society? Some of them can be very helpful. On the cemetery records I had an experience in Kansas with my g grandparents. In their obit it said where they were buried but when we contacted the sexton it was not on the record. She was upset and said what if we bury some one in the same place. She in turn started looking and found an old plot record and they were on it. Don't give up just keep trying.
