I visited Lehigh Cemetary south of Colgate Ok . Coal Co. last year and found a grave in the very back of the Cemetary. It `s stone read A. E. Jones but the A has worn away so until it is questionable. The date of birth and death matches my Grandpa, Allen Jones dates. I donot know his middle inital so was wandering if you would have a book listing or a record of a person buried in Lehigh and could check this for me. I feel sure this is my Grandpa but would just like to prove it. Thanks for listening and for any time you spend on this. Buddy
Was my request for a lookup supposed to go to just Lois Burdick? If so, sorry. Carol in Okla Always looking for cousins: Adkisons,Butlers,Byrne,Ellis,Haney,Isaacs,Kincannon,Love,Morgan,Morse,Nelson ,Patterson,Payne,Weir
Hello, would appreciate a lookup for CRANDALL, Orval or Orville. Last known address was Enid in the 1950s. Thank you Carol in Okla Always looking for cousins: Adkisons,Butlers,Byrne,Ellis,Haney,Isaacs,Kincannon,Love,Morgan,Morse,Nelson ,Patterson,Payne,Weir
Just a note to those who access this list and place queries. As a person who does many lookups, it is very frustrating when people place queries without having done any research on thier own. It takes very little time to look at a state roadmap (or in an encyclopedia) to see what county a town is in. Don't place a query for Garfield county when the places of death and burial are in Muskogee County. This is a waste of the researcher's time. Just a thought......Mahlon Erickson, Payne County area genealogist
Hi, I was wondering if you have any cemetary listings for the following: Joel Venerable Cutbirth Jackson died (we think) in Hitchita, Okla.,11/9/1856; his wife, Elizabeth Wiedner(maybe Widner),died 4/18/1922, Hitchita. They were my Great Grandparents. Also, Great Grandparents, Lydia Emaline "Emma" Coonrod Gaither, died 7/24/1928, we are not sure if she died and was buried in Muskogee or somewhere else in OK. Her husband, Henry Hiram Gaither, died 1/22/1886 in Moore, OK. Please send any info you may have on them. Very gratefully yours, Patti Goodman McSwain ----- Original Message ----- From: Lois Burdick Sent: Monday, February 19, 2001 8:37 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [OK-CEM] Garfield Co. Tammie, the only information I ahve on this particular cemetery is what listed on the African-American web site, by Angela. You can reach her at this web address [email protected] . I was wondering if the "Native American Graves Protection and repatriation Act of 1990 (NAGPRA) would apply to the protection of the Old Creek Agency Cemetery I spoke to you about? You can read this document of the web at http://www.usbr.gov/laws/nagpra.html . I will continue to keep in touch. Pam there is a Hannah Lewis born 7 Mar 1887, died Sept 1975, who lived in Muskogee, Okla. and that was where she died. SS # was 443-24-1310. She is the only one listed in Oklahoma, and if you go to the social security death index through www.ancestry.com or www.rootsweb.ssdi.com, you can click on a place by her name which will print an application for her social security application, and you can see if it is the right one.(I think those urls are correct, but look for ssdi in megaspider.com if I am not right.)
