I have been concern that this list has been so quiet for such a long time and when looking into it this evening I found that I, your List Mom, had been unsubscribed from the list, and I have no idea as to how long. I sure hope all is well and there were no major problems or if there were, you took care of it. :) Good to be back. What a strange feeling to find out you are unsubscribed from a list you take care of. Like being locked out of the house with the family inside. Kathleen Burnett List Mom
Okay, thanks for checking. Kelli
Sorry.....I can't help on this
I have tried so hard to find her grave.for 10 yrs. Her name was Florence Luttrell Ockerman Born1874 in Tex Married Dave Ockerman 1890 in Pickins Co. Lived around Beggs and had 6 kids and died after 1904. The state has no record of her death. They were so poor there is no tombstone iam sure. Iam in my 70s and would love to find her before i go ---I live in Calif. and cant get to Okla myself. Can anyone help ??I pray so===Claudine Ockerman Jones
Vicki, You can write to Joan Cargill at Route 1, Box 380, Cushing, Oklahoma 74023. She has a map of the cemetery with the names of who bought the plots on it. So, even if your relatives don't have tombstones, she will know who purchased the plot perhaps and when they were buried. I don't know exactly how much information she has. I am sorry but I do not have her phone number. She responds pretty quickly to the written requests though. Hope this helps. Edie Brand Katy, TX
Does anyone know if there is a cemetery book for Soonerville Cemetery now Flynn Memorial on Lincoln Co. near Agra? My greatgrandparents are buried there, their graves are unmarked. I wondered if there were cemetery records that would show when they were buried. Thanks, Vickie Carter
I have found my Great Aunt's son, Rex Simpson , on the SSDI with his last place of residence 1983 as Porum OK. I have looked for him at all the funeral homes and Cemeteries in Eufuala and Porum and McIntosh County. I have a feeling he may have been creamated. I guess his death certificate would be my next step . Does any one have any other suggestions?/ ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ron H" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, March 17, 2001 12:42 AM Subject: RE: [OK-CEM] Re: OK-CEMETERIES-D Digest V01 #44 > McIntosh's main city is Eufaula. McIntosh's main city is Eufaula. It's probably nearer McAlester or Muskogee than Poteau. Re: Dick Duck Cemetery in Catoosa OK....If you want to splurge for a long distance phone call, try my good friend, John Denbo, who lives in Claremore. No I don't ahve his phone number, but he is no doubt listed. He was born in the tiny town of Catoosa; his parents and his sisters are buried in the Dick Duck Cemetery, and probably he will be buried there. Catoosa is on the old Highway 88, and he drives through it each time he goes from Claremore to Tulsa, so he might be willing to stop and check this out for you. Or, he may know who has the information. He's a great guy--was in the jewelry business for years, now retired. Just tell him Reba told you to call.... Hope it works.
Robin; Hi I live in Catoosa is there something I can look up for you. Norma Robin Bailey wrote: > Thanks for help regarding Catoosa.
