Hello, Trying to help someone locate J C Johnson in Woods County, said to be listed in Stella Township.  From what I see, Stella Township is not a Township in the county. Was there a namechange or rezoning? Any response would be appreciated. Anne

Hi Anne Rupert - There is no Stella Township in Wood County, Ohio. The Ohio Towns and Townships to 1900, a Location Guide published in 2000 by the Ohio Genealogical Society shows a village did exist at one time along the border of Vinton and Jackson Countys in Ohio and a post office was established in 1880 at Locust Grove Church. That is he only information that we could locate about STELLA in Ohio. I see you did get a number of replies concerning the J. C. Johnson. I hope that you were at least able to establish some informatin of benefit to you.
