I have a news article from the Toledo Blade that tells the outcome of a trial in Lucas County over a shooting incident. The article does not include the date! Other articles on the same copied page say January 30, but no year. The headline says "Thomas Schooner Found Not Guilty of Shooting A. Artis" and also includes the names Judge Chittenden and Attorney J. E. Ladd. Thomas Schooner is listed as being from Bowling Green is why I am posting to this Wood County board. My copy is not a good copy and I want to be able to get another and see if perhaps there are more articles or information concerning this shooting. But without a year to go on, I don't know where to start. I believe it may have been in the late 1800s or early 1900s but really can't even be sure of that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
