    3. Hi Sue - There are many many Foster's in Wood County. Our index of census records from 1820 through 1910 does not show a Lafayette Foster. We do show a Dennison Foster in Troy Township in 1900, Page 221A. There are other Foster's listed also. There is a Oren Foster buried in Troy Twp Cemetery. The Historical and Biographical Record of Wood County published in 1897 has over one hundred listed. There are many burial records besides Dennison. And if I recall correctly, Mary Ann is mentioned in the Wood County History under Rudolph LUSHER --- forgot her cause of death. BUT to clarify and be sure we are on the same page and communicating the same language, are you saying that Sarah LUSHER who was buried 16 Jan 1861 MAY HAVE BEEN MOVED TO FT. MEIGS and BURIED ON THAT DATE not necessarily having died in January 1861. I appreciate all the help you give those of us who live a distance away from Ohio. Dusti

    3. Hi Dusti - There are four burials in this approximate location. You or your "Distant family member" will see four asterisks in the "born" and "died" space. that means there were no stones there when the stones were read. The burial record is from cemetery records. They have various diagrams indicating which lots were purchased and some burial records were derived from such records. In many instances the exact location is not known for these early burials. In some sections of Blocks 3 and 4 there are very few stones. There are no specific lot locations. On page 49 you note that it states that many of these graves in Block 3 were transferred from the other cemeteries in Perrysburg area. Many times the stones were not necessarily moved with the remains. I hope this attempt at an explanation satisfies your questions. This old portion of the was a very difficult cemetery to prepare for publication. 3. I am looking for marriage records of 2 sisters, Mary Elizabeth Beal and Grace Beal. Grace, I found in the 1900 census still living with her father, going to school, I believe she was 14 (couldn't read very well). I believe she got married in Wood County after 1900. Her sister Mary E., I could not find anywhere, she was born in 1879, so she was probably already married in 1900. If anyone has access to these records and could look them up for me, I would appreciate it very much. Luis Beal

    3. Hi Shirley - I've been looking for the SHOE/SHUE surname since yours of 4 February. Abraham shows in the 1850-1860-1870 Census of Montgomery Township in Wood County. He also shows in the Historical and Biographical Record of Wood County published in 1897 as a trustee of Montgomery Twp. As an early settler and as a church member. None of these records show his mother or father. David Shoe/Shue shows in the 1870 Census in Perry Twp, and in Montgomery Twp in 1880 and 1900 Census. I will advise further when I can get something else. We do not show any burial to an Elizabeth Taylor in our tombstone readings. The Probate Death Record, Vol III shows that she died in Montgomery Township. That is adjacent to Sandusky County. She could have been buried there. I will get back to you on Trinity Cemetery. I don't see it in our cemeteries in Wood County, but have heard something. Got to ask a more knowledgeable person.
