Hi Jim - There is a Charles W. Mann buried in Plain Township Cemetery, Wood County, Ohio. birth date shows 1848. He is buried with Mary E. Mann, birth date 1852. Do these dates and wife agree with your Charles Mann? I see no record of a death in our obits or probate death records. Advise further if you feel this is your Charles Mann. Hello from Vancouver WA! I do have some info about an interesting family of ELDER that goes back to George Elder in Bedford Co PA. A booklet "ELDER FAMILY" by Lillian ELDER Hull, publ. 1945, has some of the Wills and descriptions of that family. I haven't found any JOSEPH at all, or any John b 1805 in their lists, tho they do have a MARTIN ELDER traced back to George. Their Jonathan Cessna Hendrickson Elder b. 18 Jun 1849 in Bedford Co PA Received a degree in 1875 in Heidleberg College, Tiffin, Seneca Co OH. d. 16 Sept 1936 in Nutwood, Trumbull Co OH. JCH came with his parents, Achor Elder and Elizabeth Cessna Elder.. to Ohio in 1854. Admitted to the bar in 1877. Practiced law at Tiffin, New Washington and in 1880 he moved to Bowling Green, where he practiced for 11 years. He moved to Deshler and opened The Bank of Deshler, Wood Co OH. He was also city solicitor there. Elizabeth Cessna Elder, d. 14 Nov 1912 in Bloomdale, Wood Co OH,buried in Seneca Co OH. Makes me wonder if my John Elder and Mary Morehouse Elder were buried in another County, too! -- Nancy Elder Petersen, Retired School Librarian 14514 NE 52nd Circle Vancouver, WA 98682 Phone: 360-882-1039 http://www.teleport.com/~nancyp/elder.htm

Looking for any information on Moses B. Walters who married into my Henry line to Sophia Henry daughter of Zadoc and Amelia Henry. Marriage date Jan. 1, 1875 in West Millgrove. Would like to know of children, death dates and burial place. Thank you. Pat

Also looking for any information on George Mathews of Wood Co. Thank you. Pat
Hi folks, A TROMBLEY cousin just found the name of my ggg-grandfather, JOSEPH ELDER, in the Bulkley "History of Monroe Co MI", as a Scotsman from PA, so now I'm looking for a JOSEPH ELDER, father of JOHN ELDER, b. 1805. John moved to Wood Co OH about 1830. Found this list of children for JOSEPH ELDER and Mary "Polly" Walker, of Franklin Co PA, married about 1800. Ordered the microfilm #1553651 from LDS in case I can learn anything else from that. Children listed: 1. Robert b. abt 1801 Of, Fannett Twp, Franklin PA 2. Mary, b. abt 1803 " 3. John, b. abt 1805 " 4. Martha, b. abt 1807 " 5. Samuel, b. abt 1809 " 6. Alexander, b. abt 1811 " 7. Joseph, b. abt 1813 " 8. Elizabeth, b. abt 1815 " There are Alexander and Samuel ELDER, as well as Elizabeth Elder in Ft. Meigs Cemetery, so some could be related. Lots of interesting Rev War guys in PA to connect in that group, too, including the Rev. John ELDER, of Paxtang, who kept his rifle in the church, and led the Presbyterians out to the alarms! Let me know if anyone finds another link in Wood Co, or a gravesite for John ELDER and Mary Morehouse ELDER there. -- Nancy Elder Petersen, Retired School Librarian 14514 NE 52nd Circle Vancouver, WA 98682 Phone: 360-882-1039 http://www.teleport.com/~nancyp/elder.htm

Can someone tell me how to find a will (if there was one) for Jared L. Lindley who died May 8, 1891 in Wood Co.? Thank you. Pat
If anyone would have access to marriage records for Wood co, I'm looking for the marriage of Francis Henry to Mary E. ? abt. 1858. Also if it would list who their parents are would be great. I am somewhat confused by this Francis as some of the census records list him as male and some as female in the Zadoc Henry family, then in the 1860 he is listed near Zadoc with his own family, but there is also listed a female Francis same age in the Zadoc Henry home. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Pat
Delphos Henry b. to Zadoc and Emelia Henry in Wood Co. abt. 1861 is still living at home in the 1860 census, but not listed in the 1870. He was 9 in the 1860. I don't see him in the death index or the cemetery indexes. Where do you suggest I look for him? Anybody. Thanks. Pat
