Hello Cari, I went to church with a Kindervator family when I was in High school. The Mother's name: Florence Kindervator and I believe Her Father's name was William. She had a daughter named Karen; with whom I was confirmed at church, and a son ??David. This is all the information I have at this time. Maybe this is of some help. BLESSINGS!! Cari, I am aware of the KINDERVATOR / KINDERVATER families from Perrysburg Township because of their relationship to my WILTSE and BOURDEAU / BURDO families. I checked these sources for a reference to an Ernestine Kindervator, d/o ? and Agnes, who married Charles Henry MILLER: "Descendants of Jacob WILTSE, Linus FROST and Henry & Francis DICE", by Elizabeth Johnson Salchow, 1975. No mention of an Ernestine. "Fort Meigs Union Cemetery / Wood County, Ohio" compiled by Wood County Chapter of The Ohio Genealogical Society, 1998. These burials are included: Charles H. MILLER. b 1889, d June 1972 Ernestine J. MILLER. b 1889, d Mar 1925 Herman F. KINDERVATER. b 1835, d Feb 1910 Agnes KINDERVATER, wife. b 1854, d Dec 1939. m #1 BEAUFAIL If you think the Ernestine who d 1925 is yours, I think you would want to check the Ohio online death index for her and then order her death certificate to see if it lists her father. If your Ernestine was born 1889, you also could check the 1900 census as one would expect that she would have been enumerated with her family. There are other Kindervator/Kindervater burials at Fort Meigs, and the surname appears in other Wood County sources, e.g. Zoar Lutheran Church records. But first, of course, you need to know which family is yours. Phyllis ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! I was wondering if anyone has any information about anyone named Kindervator in the Perrysburg area. I've learned a little about my g-grandmother, Ernestine Kindervator who married Charles Henry Miller. Her mother was Agnes. I have no information about her father. All I know from my grandfather is that she died young and he was cared for by his grandmother while he was growing up. I have found very little bearing the name "Kindervator" and am sure it has changed into something else since it was such a German name. Does anyone have any information about the name or this family in particular? Cari Taplin

Hi List, I'm trying to locate the "exact" place of birth of my mother. Maybe you can help. The following is what I know, which is off my mother's birth record. Name: Elizabeth Emeline JAY Born: 17 July 1919 Place: River Road, Rossford, Ohio What I am trying to find out is if my mother was born at home, or in a hospital. The birth certificate just gives River Road, but not a house number. Would like to get the house number so I can take a picture of it the next time I'm in Ohio. Did they have hospitals during this time? Have been checking the census. No luck. Also, on the birth certificate, where it ask "If birth occurred in a hospital, give name", etc...........) This is blank. Any help would be appreciated. thanks, robert rothenbuhler FFWC#214
Lois Apple died in her home in Bowling Green, Ohio on Sunday, July 8. Would anyone happen to have her obituary? Thank you. Nancy Roach, Tucson, AZ

Hi folks, Does anyone have a listing for the "Disciples Cemetery" in Liberty Township? I'm still looking for burial location of JOHN ELDER about 1863. He hasn't shown up in the usual Wood County indexes. On a copy of a Liberty Township map I noticed a notation which looks like "Mercer Cem, School No 6 and Disciple Cem." close together on the south border of Section 14 and 13 "T4N10E", Liberty Twp. John ELDER's "estate file" lists his land as 10 acres in the "N part of SE part of Sec 13 T4N10E". William KINNEY and a MERCER family are also shown nearby. KINNEY was listed as a Disciples Church member, and it is also a name found in our ELDER family. I wonder if those church members could have buried JOHN and his wife Mary MOREHOUSE ELDER near their property? Thanks for any help you can give me. -- Nancy Elder Petersen, Retired School Librarian 14514 NE 52nd Circle Vancouver, WA 98682 Phone: 360-882-1039 http://www.teleport.com/~nancyp/elder.htm

Hi folks, Thanks for the lookup of Julius ROE, by Cheryl Roe (no relation that she knows of). Mary Ann ELDER and Julius ROE were married in Wood Co OH in 1854. They are found in the Summerfield, Monroe Co MI Census of 1860, where Julius is 27 years old and listed as born in MI. I'm still trying to find the parents of Julius ROE. Relatives in Ogemaw Co MI are now trying to find the original death certificate at the courthouse, using the death date of April 2, 1913, so we can look at the signature of the person who wrote "born in France." Maybe they just knew of French-Canadian relatives in Michigan? From LDS records of Ogenaw County, Michigan, Cheryl found: Julius Roe died April 2, 1913. He was 79y 10m 28d old. He lived in Goodar. He died of old age. He was "born in France." He was a farmer. His parents were unknown. Mary Ann [ELDER] Roe died August 12, 1912. She lived in Goodar. She was 78y 11m 10d old. .. She was born in Ohio. She was a housewife. Her father's name was John Elder. No mother's name was given [Mary MOREHOUSE]. More info posted here: http://members.home.net/graftec/nancy/trom/trom-hill.htm/ Thanks for any more info about Julius ROE. -- Nancy Elder Petersen, Retired School Librarian 14514 NE 52nd Circle Vancouver, WA 98682 Phone: 360-882-1039 http://www.teleport.com/~nancyp/elder.htm
