I am looking for coroner's records for Nov. 4, 1874 for Shubel Martindale. Coroner was ? Mcmahan Juror's were Cl*** Rogers; G.W. Gaglian; C.H. Lehman; J.R. Rudolph; V.R. ?Getman; & Joseph Lease.     3. Oh great! While you are looking for names with no tombstones in Liberty Township, could you watch for John and Mary ELDER in those cemeteries, too? John died after the 1860 Liberty Twp. census and I believe that Mary must have died before 1860 census. They were both in 1850 Liberty Twp. census. These early cemetery book indexes were prepared by individuals going to the cemetries and reading the inscriptions on the tombstones and entering that information into our books. Therefore if there is not tombstone no entry was made. We have since attempted to locate old records of burials where no tombstone exists. On the most recent books and updates of the older books include records of these burials with tombstone. If is very possible that your Emeline Welton was buried in Rudolph (Bethel) Cemetery with no tombstone. I will try to check and see if such records have been located for Liberty Township Cemeteries. I remember when my grandmother Lulu Krepleever Rodemich started Twinwall Mobile Home Park on Tremainsville Rd in West Toledo that there used to be a Caskie family that lived in that park but that was back in the 1940s. I wish I knew what happened to grandmas records of who lived there. Although it might be in the Lucas County Auditor Office on microfiche for Trilby or Washington Twp. HOST GFS Nance@aol.com

Known as "Happy Jack" Feasel in his younger days, he was a very congenial neighbor and friend and was known as a great lover of children. The funeral will be held at the residence at two o'clock Friday afternoon and burial will be made in the Graham cemetery. Rev. M. P. Ayers of Green Springs, formerly pastor of the Prairie Depot M. E. Church to which Mr. Caskie belonged will officiate. The deceased was born in Wideownshire, Scotland, March 11, 1834. He came to this country when about eighteen years old, residing for a while at Slavington, Pa. It was about fifty years ago that he entered the Black Swamp and hewed himself out a home and built a log cabin where he and his wife, who was Miss Matilda Smith worked and raised their children. Today the place is a fine farm and it has been the pleasure of the old couple to watch its transformation. Mr. Caskie was honored by all who knew him and had held the office of trustee of Montgomery township.
