    3. There is a notice on the home page of RootsWeb.com, https://home.rootsweb.com/, and on the mailing lists page, https://lists.rootsweb.com/postorius/lists/. The original message is archived here, https://lists.rootsweb.com/hyperkitty/list/rootsweb-listowners-announcements.rootsweb.com/thread/35491416/. After I made my posting, I had a great idea altho several minutes too late! I went to Rootsweb and searched high and low, searched on this link, that link, everywhere and found no mention, hint, clue or any reference to Ancestry doing away w/the mailing lists. The link the original poster included in his message does not go to any place remotely related to Ancestry or any genealogy. 3. I think this fake. 3. I am searching for Jefferson White who went missing, from searches, about 1850 in Richland, Oswego Co NY. He was married to Mary or Mary Ann who shows up in Monroe about 1850. I will get the actual dates next time I get into ancestry or you can search the tree for Linda White Witham. They had 5 children including my gGrandgather Milo who moved from Monroe to Gratiot County with Mary and his new stepdad Woodman. This Mary Woodman is buried in North Star Cemetery in Gratiot County. Again, will get you more dates and details later. My father is I'll and I cant/wont do ancestry on my phone. Happy searching. Four of the sons are found, three in Lucas County, one in Monroe County, Michigan. I am appealing to the folks there with connections to the White Family of New York who ended up in the Toledo area. If you have any clue as to the fate of either Jane or Mary WHITE, please advise. Jane WHITE, the second child of Amasa Daniel WHITE and Polly Tyler was born ca. 1825-1830, born possibly in Jefferson County, New York, but probably Sandy Creek, Oswego County, New York. Jane is living with the family in 1840 but not there in 1850. Mary WHITE, the fifth child of Amasa Daniel WHITE and Polly Tyler was born ca. 1830-1835, in Sandy Creek, Oswego County, New York and is living with the family in 1840 but not there in 1850. No further information has been located at this time. Other children of Amasa and Polly are Daniel WHITE, who remained in Sandy Creek, Oswego County; Dennis WHITE, who moved to Lenawee and Monroe County, Michigan, John G. WHITE who lived and is buried in Sylvania, Lucas County, Ohio and Amasa WHITE who lived in Huron County, Ohio, moved to Wood County, Ohio. Daniel WHITE is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Sandy Creek, Oswego County, New York.Thanks. 3. I am still seeking information on Robet F. FREEMAN and his wife Isabel who came to Wood County from New York via Pennsylvania (I suspect Erie County) and Huron County, Ohio, in about 1848. They appeared in the 1850 census of Wood County. Robert F. FREEMAN died 18 August 1879 and Isabel died 4 Feb 1880. They are buried in Tontogany Cemetery, Section 1. They had a son, Robert H. FREEMAN who was married and lived in Tontogony and was in the tombstone business with my great grandfather, Pat McDANIEL, who was married to his sister, Harriet Lucretia. Robert H. was 46 years old in the 1880 census. Two of Robert H. and Ann E. FREEMAN's children, Eddie S.(d. 6 Apr 1877) and Lillie (d. 22 May 1872) are also buried in Tontogany Cemetery, Section 1. I can find no records on him or his family after the 1880 census. I would like to contact other descendants to see if they have more definite information about the origins of this FREEMAN family.
