Dear Campbell researchers, Can anyone relate to any of the following family members? John S. Campbell is my pggrandfather. We know a great deal about his descendants but little about his eight siblings. His father, Joseph Campbell emigrated from Scotland in the 1700's with his parents (names unknown). They settled in "Georgetown" in western Virginia. Joseph's brother, William, married an ELLISON and Joseph married ELIZABETH DOUGLAS. Not long after 1800 we believe JOSEPH and ELIZABETH CAMPBELL moved to Wayne Co.Ohio where they raised a family of nine children. Son, John S. Campbell farmed in Wayne Co. for more than 40 years. We have birth and descendant information on only two. (John S. & Joseph A Here are their names: 1. James, 2 .John S. (born 24 Sep 1799), 3.William, 4.Samuel, 5.Robert, 6.Betsy, 7.Polly, 8.Nancy, (married a TENTSLER), and 9.Joseph (born 4 Sep 1825) If you have any information about this CAMPBELL family in Virginia or Ohio we would like to exchange information.
