Good Morning, Pete, Your John's Hoover's Maryland connection could be a link to our family. By any chance was John Hoover Brethren (German Baptist Brethren)? They were like the Mennonites and Amish in many ways. Some of the Hoovers were Brethren. In about the 1740s, some of my Brethren family (on the same side that married Hoovers) moved from the area around Philadelphia to Frederick Co., MD where a Brethren community was being established. Many of their children's and grandchildren's families moved to Washington Co. PA around the 1770s. A couple of generations later (around 1819 or 1820), many families in this line of our family moved to Wayne Co., Ohio. Besides "Dague" one of the surnames in this family was "Swinehart" (Schweinhardt, Swihart). One of our Swinehart cousins wrote a book entitled, _Bower, Easterday, Hoover and Swinehart_. I could get you in touch with her if you'd like. Cathy ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO!
