Are there any Wayne Co books that you may have that list births before 1867? Isaac Lehr married Mary Jane Winkler 14 Nov 1850 in Wayne Co., OH. Marvin Allen Lehr was born to them 22 Nov 1855 in Wayne, Co., OH Adda M. Lehr was born to them in Oct 1856 in Wayne, Co, OH. Is there any way to trace the birth of Mary Jane Winkler? The 1850 census said she was 18 and lived with Fanny Winkler. I don't know what religion they may have been or what church records it could be in. I know that Wayne County Probate Court doesn't have records that far back. Is there any other place I can look? How can I find out who Mary Jane Winkler's parents are? I don't know if Fanny and Lawrence Winkler were her parents or grand parents. If they were her grandparents, then I believe Enoch Winkler may be her father. Is there any way to find this out? I'm not familiar with researching in OHio back at this early dates when the state or county didn't keep records. I understand that John Winkler, the oldest living pioneer in Greene township, and first son of Lawrende Winkler, was born April 22, 1799 in Burke County, NC and came with his father to Greene township, Wayne Co, Oh in the spring of 1814 to prepare the way for the rest of the family who came in the fall. Do you have any info on John Winkler and his children and 3 plus wives? Waiting to hear from you shortly. Thank you for your time and efforts. At a brick wall Sandy in VA. Thanks. Sandy
