I know there are marriage record books for Wayne Co., and indexes for those, but are there any applications also available for the earlier years of 1800? Recently I have been told that many Ohio counties have these records kept separately from the marriage records. When I wrote to Wayne Co. they sent me a copy of my ancestor's marriage record, but would there be a separate record of them applying? My ancestress was well under age to I was wondering if her parents would have signed the application to give their consent.
