Sandy This inquiry made me think about a woman in my family tree, the first wife of a gggrandfather. From her gravestone, Lucinda E. Everhard died 18 Mar 1874 and is buried at Loyal Oak Cemetery, Section 1, Row 15, Norton Twp., Summit Co., OH. 'The History of the Eberharts' by Rev. Uriah Eberhart, 1891 states that Loucinda Lake [should be Lucinda Lohr] (b. 15 Jul 1848, d. 18 Mar 1874) married Daniel Everhard on 22 Oct 1868 and was his first wife. I was wondering if Lake, Lohr and Lehr all could be the same name? Even in the subject of this email, Lake and Lehr were interchanged. Of course Lohr and Lehr could easily be mistaken for each other in handwriting. This may be part of the brick wall experience... not being able to recognize the garbled names when they do appear in records.
