Susan, Thanks for writing. If your Hartman family is from Wayne and/or Medina county then you would be of the "other" family than mine. Although you did not mention his dates, I have no Solomon. My Elizabeth's (1840-1924) father was Peter HARTMAN (1803-1880) and her mother was Mary "Polly" HUMMEL (1800-1885). She was married to Samson/Samuel LYLE (1840-1916). Peter's sister was also Elizabeth, data unknown, but since Peter was born about 1803, Elizabeth was probably born 20 years either way of that date. Peter and Mary Hummel Hartman came to Ohio in 1831, the journey of which was written in "History of SEIBERLING Family from 1725", Author unknown, published 1901. If you see any other connections, I would appreciate knowing. Best wishes, Elissa On Sun, 24 Feb 2002 12:57:22 -0600 "Susan" <susan@terraworld.net> writes: > Elissa, > I am related to the Hartman family from Md. and Pa., Solomon Hartman family, > You mentioned about there being TWO concurrent distinct Hartman families. > Could you tell me more about these families. > Solomon Hartman had a daughter Elizabeth Hartman who married Joseph > Carlin > and moved to Mercer Co., Ohio.
