Happy New Year fellow listers; I am searching for David KERCHER'S parents, although he was born in Lancaster County, PA, he ended up in Wayne County, OH going to school, enlisting in the Union Army there and then marrying Rachel Matilda (Tillie) CHERRY in 1868. David's parents were Curtis and Barbara KIZER, KERCHER, and were 'native Pennsylvanian's' according to a bio in the Doniphan County, Kansas history. I am searching all avenues for them as their daughter Susannah (b in Allentown, PA) was also married in Wayne County, OH in 1865. And his brother Harry was supposedly in the Wayne County area also. Any info on Curtis, Barbara, and Harry would be greatly appreciated. Jacque in Missouri Baskp0491@aol.com HALLWAECHS, APPUHN, KERCHER, KIZER, CHERRY (Hesse, Darmstadt, Prussia; PA, OH, KS, NE)
Looking for the burial place of Reuben Shoemaker who died in 1926. He was a Smithville area resident. And am looking for his parents, if there is another Shoemaker researcher out there who might know. Thanks, Susie Holderfield
I'm not sure why the entire message didn't come through on my last post - looks OK in my sent mail, but we'll try again here. - I am trying to return a family picture to its family. The father's name is Jacob Schad and they lived in the Wooster OH area in Wayne Co. He had three children two girls and a boy born in the mid to late 1890's. I realize this is not much to go on and I'll understand if you can't do it, but thanks for trying. Kathy Clark - Hi listmembers, I received this email from Kathy Clark, but unfortunately can't help her. If you have any info which may help her return this photo to family members, please email her at kathylc@email.msn.com, Thanks, Susan Franks Leininger

Was David Johnson marr. to Sarah Law in Wayne Co., OH? (3 Oct 1822) Did many of the Wayne County families named Johnson and Law migrate to Union County, Ohio area? Would be very grateful to exchange ideas with other Johnson and Law family descendants. Jeannet
Earlier in the month a Trumbull Co., OH subscriber named Beth asked me if our HECKATHORNs and HORNs were from Washington Co., PA I think I answered her privately and said they were originally from Washington Co., PA. She didn't say if she was researching these families, but if she is, would she please get in touch with me? A Heckathorn descendant contacted me after I posted on the Stark Co. OH list to say that I was only the 2nd Heckathorn researcher she's met in twenty years. She is anxious to get in touch with Heckathorn researchers and is considering starting a rootsweb list of that name. If anyone else on this list is searching Heckathorn, please contact me.
