I have also been researching the MOORE family. John W. Moore was a half-brother to my great grandmother, Mary Alice. (They had different mothers, but Joshua was their father.) I have a death certificate for John W. from Ohio if you would like a copy. You can contact me at cyventres @ aol.com if you would like to compare notes. I have not been able to find a death record for Joshua's first wife, Mary Tillis/Tillus Moore, which would have been approx between 1860 and 1869. Their names were Mary and Elizabeth. They had two brothers, Henry N and Clarence E. I found the parents and two brothers in the census records but nothing on the girls. John W was born in 1856 and died in 1910. Sarah E was born in 1862 and died in 1943. Henry N was my grandfather and John was my great grandfather. I am trying to do my family tree of Moore's.
