He is on the record for 1840 & 1850 at that location. Do you happen to know the names of the children of Peter and Mary? I have looked at the 1840 record for Peter Everly in Newport: Peter Everly Home in 1840 (City, County, State): Newport, Washington, Ohio Free White Persons - Males - 10 thru 14: 1 (David*) Free White Persons - Males - 20 thru 29: 1 Free White Persons - Males - 50 thru 59: 1 (Peter*) Free White Persons - Females - 5 thru 9: 2 Free White Persons - Females - 15 thru 19: 1 (Lucinda*) Free White Persons - Females - 40 thru 49: 1 (Mary*) (*Guessing on names) On 23 Nov 1843 Lucinda "Eberly" marries "Daniel" Countryman, both of Newport, Washington, Ohio also married by George Templeton. Probably Everly and David. Daniel/David on other records. I am thinking that Peter has children living in Maysville, KY in 1850. David Everly b 1827, OH is family 869 on this census, also living with him are Mary Hudson and Mary J Hudson. The next household #870 has Lewis Ackley, Delila Ackley b 1831 OH, George Ackley, David Courmatry, Lucinda Couramtry, b 1825, OH, David D Courmatry and Simon P Courmatry. (Simon is on the top of the East Maysville page, not in order on Ancestry.) This is a BAD spelling of Countryman! The Countryman family can be found later in Cincinnati, OH, always terrible spellings. 1860 see - Daniel and David Conieman, Cincinnati. 1880 see - David Connerman Cincinnati, OH. 1870 under Lucy Cuntryman again living with Lewis Ackley, this time she is head of household. David Cuntryman (jr) is also on the same page with a wife Mary. Mary dies in 1887 and David marries the widow Mary J Van Blaricum 22 May 1890, this is the Mary J Hudson that was his neighbor in Kentucy! He dies a month later. My primary interest is in the Ackley family, I believe Lewis is the son of Abram/Abel Ackley. They also lived in Newport, Washington, OH in 1840. Lewis and his sons live with Abram in 1860 Cincinnati. Delila seems to have passed. I think Delila may have been an Everly or a Countryman, she could fit on the census with Peter's family, just SPECULATION with that. There must be some close connection with the Ackley's Countryman's and Everly's other than living in Newport, Maysville and Cincinnati. I am not sure when Peter and Mary died. Nor when David/Daniel Countryman sr and Lucinda died, although I would think it to be Cincinnati, Delila I am guessing in Kentucky??? Lewis Ackley died 20 Feb 1871 in Cincinnati and is buried in the Wesleyan Cemetery. David Countryman (jr) died 24 Jun 1890 in Cincinnati and is also in the Wesleyan Cemetery. He had a pension (Pension # WC 316-093) that Mary J Countryman filed for 11 Jul 1890. Regards Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
