GREENE the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have given, grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said DANIEL and JAMES H. GREENE their heirs and assigns forever. All the following described lots or parcels of land to wit seven lots No. one hundred fifty one (351) and three hundred fifty two (352) located in Washington County Marietta together with all the privileges and appurtenances to the same belonging any wise appertaining. To have and to hold the said granted and bargained premises then the said DANIEL GREENE and JAMES H. GREENE their heirs and assigns to them and use benefit and behoof forever. And we the said STEPHEN PILCHER and ELIZA PILCHER ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators d! o covenant to and with the said DANIEL and JAMES H. GREENE and with their heirs and assigns that we are the true sole and last owners of the above described premises and absolute estate of inheritance in fee simple and that we have full power and authority to sell and convey the same secure and defend the same to the said DANIEL GREENE and JAMES H. GREENE and their heirs and assigns forever against the lawful claims and demands of all persons. And ELIZA PILCHER wife of the said STEPHEN PILCHER in consideration of the payment aforesaid doth sell and release unto the said DANIEL and JAMES H. GREENE and their heirs and assigns all survey and title of Dower of in the afore granted premises. In testimony whereof we the said STEPHEN PILCHER and ELIZA PILCHER have hereunto set our hands and seals this seventeenth day of October the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty eight. Signed, Sealed and acknowledged in presence: STEPHEN PILCHER NOAH L. WILSON ELIZA PILCHER C. PROTSMAN The State of Ohio, Washington County, at Marietta this 17th day of October A.D. 1838. Personally appeared before this undersigned Justice of the Peace in and for said STEPEHN PILCHER and ELIZA PILCHER who executed the foregoing instruments of conveyance and acknowledged the signing and sealing thereof as their voluntary act and the said ELIZA PILCHER being by one examined separate and apart from her said husband and the contents of the foregoing instrument of conveyance being made known by me to her, she upon such separate examination did declare that she did voluntarily sign, seal and acknowledge the same and that she is still satisfied therewith.
