The following article was in the Jan 8 1919 CALDWELL PRESS: EAST UNION Monday, Chester SULLIVAN and Roy KING were hauling a load of fodder for Bingham KING and had the misfortune of upsetting it and the result was a sprained ankle which is quite painful. ***** Dr. DEVAUL was called to give medical aid to Hettie BATES, who is poorly at the home of Isaac TUCKER's. ***** Finley BUTLER and James SULLIVAN moved William TUCKER to Caldwell, Thursday, where he expects to work in the coal mines. ***** Thursday, Rufus MERRY and Forest THOMPSON were in town looking after their interests in the tobacco business. ***** Dal HARRIS was dehorning cattle for J E SULLIVAN, Thursday. ***** Dessie ROSSITER is able to come to town once more after an absence of several months on account of sickness. ***** Mary BATES and daughter, Rosie, were shopping in town Saturday. ***** Ralph ARCHER was an early caller in Center township Monday morning. ***** Rev. WARD preached at the M E church Sunday at 2 p.m. The only services we have had here for about three months on account of flu scare. ***** Archie HESSON went to Caldwell, Sunday evening in order to be at school on time Monday morning.
