    3. I don't know exactly how or even if I fit in. I think the Thomas Mendenhall who married Sarah Comley is the grandfather of one of my ancestors who was orphaned. But I can find no source document that connects my ancestor's mother Nancy to that Thomas' family, just a lot of circumstantial evidence. That's why I'm looking for a will or probate record for Thomas that lists Thomas' legal heirs. Circumstantial evidence is fine but as I'm particularly bothered that no one else lists Nancy as Thomas' daughter, I'm looking for evidence to prove or disprove once and for all that Nancy is Thomas' daughter. Until then I'm more or less stuck and that is how I do (or don't) fit in. Most of what I know about Thomas Mendenhall and his family is what I learned through the Mendenhall Family Association at Mendenhall.org. My apologies for not having more having more concrete information to share but mostly I'm just hoping that someone out there might know where I can find some kind of an estate record for Thomas that might help me connect to Nancy. Once I know where Nancy fits in, then I'll know for certain where I fit in.
