Born Oct 1763, Nottingham West, Hillsboro Co, NH or .... due to boundary changes at the time in MA (see info below) Marr (different from some listings, see below) 05 Mar 1785, Dracut, Middlesex, MA to Mercy WOOD Died 14 Sep 1825, Salem Twp, Washington Co, OH Buried Sep 1825, Duck Creek farm, Salem Twp, Washington Co, OH Info I have gathered, with sources: Patti Escamilla on FamilyHistory.com lists birth as Oct 1763, MA; death as 13 Oct 1825; marr as 11 Aug 1785 NH. Says he was a Rev War soldier, rec'd bounty lands in OH (VA Military District), applied for pension 1818. Rev War records listed him as DAVICE from Dracut, MA age 17; but listed birthplace as Nottingham West, NH, stature as 5 foot 4 inches. Service records were from June 1779-Dec 1783. He was discharged from West Point. Moved to Tungridge, Orange Co, VT in 1790 where he and his wife lived for 3yrs before heading for the OH lands in 1792. (Sold his land purchased from Thomas WOOD to Solomon CURTIS.) Landed in OH/NWT 02 Dec 1792 at Belpre opposite Blennerhassetts' Island. Because of the Indian War they had to live in the Belpre Garrison until the spring of 1795. Then they moved onto a Donation Tract Lot on Duck Creek in Salem Township, Wash Co, OH. March 26, 1795 Dudley drew for his Allotment (The OH Land Company; Lot #62) land on Duck Creek, near Lowell. Later moved to Noble Co OH in 1808, 1809, 1813, 1819 bought and sold land. From 1746 to 1803 it was Nottingham West, Hillsboro Co, NH and after 1803 it was Hudson, NH (all geography according to Marjorie Davis Shelton, desc of Frederick C.
