Linda; I have found sereral errors in the book too. You also have helped many people that subscribe to the LIST, especially me. Many other people who subscribe to the LIST has done so much for me in assisting with my research on my family history, and send me things in the mail, that I find not only valuable to me, but others as well. Take for example, Shirley (Unitymarietta@aol.com) snail mailed me the SCHOOL RECORD BOOKS OF WILLIAM BIEDEL. I thought WOW! This would be helpful to others, so I typed it out and put it online. I enjoy doing it. It sure has improved my typing skills. lol Debbie Noland Nitsche Diamonddeb@comcast.net FAMILY HISTORY SITE http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/n/i/t/Debra-Nitsche// PHOTO SITE OF "FAMILIES OF WASHINGTON COUNTY, OHIO" http://hometown.aol.com/familiesofwashco/index.html OLD MARIETTA & WASHINGTON COUNTY, OHIO PHOTOS http://hometown.aol.com/washcoohiopics/myhomepage/collection.html WASHINGTON COUNTY, OHIO HISTORICAL & GENEALOGICAL "LINKS" http://hometown.aol.com/washcohistory/index.html ----- Original Message ----- From: <LRHall175@aol.com> To: <OHWASHIN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, September 22, 2003 8:22 AM Subject: Re: [OHWASH] Dudley Davis Family > Deb > You have been really busy helping people on the list. Debbie I am new to the email list. I have recently been going thru your links that you post to each email. I just found out I'm kin to Princess Diana -wow. I am of the the Constant Mitchell and John Fobes line out of New England. Princess Diana is my 10th cousin.geez. Washington Co.,Ohio --- My lineage is from Joseph Cook (1751-1824) who married Elizabeth Barker (1755-1816). Elizabeth Cook (1782-1839)their daughter married Timothy Darling(1779-1830) in Wood Co.,WV. They married 1803. Elizabeth Cook and Timothy Darling went to Jackson Co.,Ohio where they died. All of their children were born Wood co.,WV. Joseph Cook died 1824 in Parkersburg, WV/Belpre, Ohio. He's buried in Parkersburg. I am kin to John James, Pardon Cook. I am kin to Samuel P. Hildreth who wrote all those books. He is the nephew-in-law of Joseph Cook, son-in-law of Pardon Cook. I'm having a time locating his books. I think there are 2 in the Dallas Public Library which is 30 miles away in heavy traffic. And I can get microfilm of others on LDS. Right now I don't have the time to hunt them down. Thought maybe they would reprint them - maybe I could purchase one of the books. Right now I haven't found any to purchase. Wonder if anyone knows where to get a book. I am trying to find more data on Timothy Darling who seems to have come by himself from Vermont. He is in the 1810 census Wood Co.,WV. In 1820 census Wood co.,WV, there is a Robert and a Thomas Darling. I'm wondering who these other Darlings are. If you get the time, is there anything written on Darlings? Cindy
