    1. [OHWASH] Pierce Cemetery in Noble County OH
    2. In November 2001, my brother & I visited The Pierce Cemetery in Beaver Township, Noble County, which suffered from severe neglect until recent years. Most of the headstones were illegible or broken & it appeared several graves were moved & headstones were missing. Graves I could identify were Mary (Doyle) and Joseph Pierce, who represent the earliest identified ancestors in my Pierce line. Other graves that could be read: Parin Pierce, Nancy Pierce (I believe this is Parin & Margaret Pierce's young child), Michael Pierce; Stella, daughter of Squire and Nancy Brown; and Mary Ann & Ed Ensley (whom I would guess were Mary and Joseph's daughter & son-in-law). The Pierce Cemetery is located in a densely wooded area about 1/2 mile off of Twp Rd 182 (South side); west of junction of Twp Rd 181 in Beaver Township, Noble Co. Be warned that the area is overgrown and home to copperhead snakes (though we did not meet any on our visit). Nancy PIERCE
