Need help with the Eliza Jane noted in the following marriage record. Please note that the groom is the son of Jacob NEWLAND and Sara Tice with Sara being the daughter of Solomon TICE, Sr. Washington Co. Marriage Index, 1789 to 1918 Henry NEWLAND r Wash 7-28-1854 Eliza Jane TICE r Wash Eliza's death certificate claims she was born in Washington Co., but doesn't name parents or a birth date. Going by later census records, she should have been born abt. 1834. This would have made her about 16 for the 1850 Census (four years prior to marrying Henry). Coincidentally, Solomon TICE, Jr.'s family has a 16 year-old Eliza Jane CAMERON living with them. Is it possible the above marriage record should have read CAMERON instead of TICE?
