I'm also interested in the western New York to Washington County migration because several of my ancestors came from New England to Decatur, Fairfield and Wesley townships via New York state. I know some of them took up residence in western New York before moving down to Ohio, including these families: Cody (from Mass), Walker and Place (from Vermont), Libby, Bickford and Allard (Vermont and New Hampshire) and possibly my gr gr grandfather Joseph Miller, who's remembered as a "New York Yankee. He married New York-born Almira Walker, daughter of Daniel and Delilah Cody. It looks like these families may have lived near each other in New York and moved together to Washington County. Anybody have any other thoughts about this?
