    3. Mark Brewer just emailed me with some very good news. He is the Associate Director for Telecommunications ,Ohio University Public Broadcasting, WOUB/WOUC-TV/AM/FM/CABLE. A copy of the film, Opening the Door West, will be avalible on DVD and Video real soon. I am sooooooo excited!! Of course, I already ordered my copy. I can't wait to see this film. Everyone I have spoken with, says it is a very good documentary. When I first heard of the film, a few months ago, I was sooooooo disapointed that I couldn't see it, because it doesn't air in the Philadelphia, PA. area. "Opening the Door West" This is the story of the Ohio Company of Associates, a group of Revolutionary War officers and soldiers, and how, in 1788, they first opened the door for westward expansion of the new United States. At Marietta, Ohio, they began the first legal, organized American settlement in the old Northwest Territory. http://www.openingthedoorwest.com/ Another link to see information about this film http://www.mariettaonline.com/ohiocompany/ Debbie Noland Nitsche Diamonddeb@comcast.net Washington Co., Ohio (A History and Genealogy Website) http://home.comcast.net/~diamonddeb/Index.html
