WILLIAM BION MASON 77th O V I Col. William Bion Mason, of Company B of the 77th Ohio Volunteer Infantry is the grandson of William Bond Mason and Susanna (Coburn) Mason. Age:37 Enlisted:Oct 11, 1861 3 yrs of service Promoted to Major from Captain Company B. Aug 26, 1862; the Col Apr 18, 1863 (the same day that Col. She married William Bion Mason on May 25, 1852. LUCETTA BISHOP MASON Daughter of WILLIAM MASON and LUNA SPRAGUE. She was born November 04, 1827, and died May 09, 1921. Co., Ohio on May 4, 1854, Died in Marietta, Ohio on Feb. 17, 1929. Dau. of William Bion & Lucetta (Sprague) Mason. She graduated from MHS, 1874, and was a member of the First Baptist Church. Also a member of the Colonial Dames, DAR, Pioneer Society, and Centennial Society. She was greatly interested in genealogical research, and gathered considerable data on the MASON family. She wrote the book, GENEALOGY HISTORY - THE FAMILY OF HUGH MASON - WILLIAM MASON AND ALLIED FAMILIES in 1911.
