In 1880 Patrick is living as a boarder in the home of Gaunt Crebs listed as an R R Tie Maker in Adair Co Mo. John and Granville Hanlin are Patrick's brothers. About James Hanlin Sarah Tice Hanlon died in Jackson County Virginia now West Virginia around 1852. James and Sarah moved from Ludlow Twp Washington County to Tyler Co now West Virginia and in 1843 they sold land to the Board of Educationa and Brush Run Church for one dollar. After 1843 they moved to Jackson Co. West Virginia where Sarah died. James filed a power of attorney to Isaac N Coffin of Washington DC to look into the matter of recieving any part of the penison of his mother who was deceased. From now West Virginia on Nov 1 1852. His brother Felix and family left for Missouri after 1851. His brother John left for Texas around 1850 . His daughter Martha Ann who married John Bishop March 23 1867 in Adair Co Missouri. He was a soldier of the American Revolution for six years, having fought in the battles of Brandywine and Paoli where he received wounds. His company was the Third Pennsylvania Regiment commanded by Col Butler. Patrick and Margaret moved to Harrison County, Virginia, where they bought property on Booths Creek and Lost Run from James Moline in the spring of 1799. In the fall of 1808 he sold the land to Elizabeth Williamson and moved to Tyler County West Virginia/Virginia, where he received 400 acres of land for the service in the war. This land was located on Sugartree Creek in Mead Township. In 1823 Patrick sold the Tyler County property and moved to Ludlow Township where he died February 28 1826.
