I have a copy of a Will and Application to Probate Will of Allen PIERCE who died March 22, 1899 in Jackson Township, Noble County, Ohio. He left no widow and listed the following next of kin: Sylvester A. Pierce, son, Claytonia (?) Ohio; Augustus C. Pierce, Claytonia OH; George S. Pierce, Claytonia OH; Charlotte Ward, New Salem, Ohio; and Mary A. Tripland, Euforia (?) Kansas. The Application was filed by William R. Wilkens of Washington County, OH. His name was spelled Wickens on the Will. Although the Application uses the PIERCE spelling throughout, the Will itself as well as Allen's signature use the PEIRCE spelling. The question marks represent my best guess as the writing is difficult to decipher. There wasn't much in the Will but I thought I'd post this in case it is someone else's line. Nancy Pierce
