Hi List, My relative Samuel Pond paid taxes on 640 acres in 1836 and 1837. In checking the Index (HFL film) to deed records I can not find him listed after 1833 and he died in 1844. In 1838 he is listed as paying Personal Property tax but no land tax so he must have sold the land by then. Can someone suggest how I might track this down short of visiting the County court house. The land is described as lot 26, Range 10, Town 3 sec 26, E1/4 of SE 1/4. Any advice would be appricated. Thank You John Welsh
