    3. Saturday, January 24, 2004 Lula Modesitt PARKERSBURG - Lula Chapman Modesitt, 89, of Parkersburg, died Jan. 22, 2004, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital. She was born June 11, 1914, in Wade, Ohio, a daughter of the late George Chapman and Ina Norman Chapman Hewitt. She was a member of the Peoples Church in Boaz. She worked for Yunkers Manufacturing for 20 years. She loved gardening and quilting. Survivors include three daughters, Deloris Hitt of Walker, Joan Ahart of Washington and Opal Modesitt of Parkersburg; a son, Curtis Modesitt Sr. of Vienna; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Shirley Modesitt; a brother, Oscar Hewitt; two infant brothers; two sisters, Elizabeth Seevers and Icyphine Modesitt; an infant sister; two stepsisters; and a stepbrother. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. Lance Hitt and Pastor Frena Morehead officiating. Burial will follow in the Cooley Chapel Cemetery.
