    3. Thanks Jeff. That's what I was thinking. The promo on the site, sounded to good to be true. For example, on the website, Genealogy Detective promises to: Access over 5,000 databases INSTANTLY Locate hardest to find PRIMARY RECORDS Explore SECRET GENEALOGY WEB SITES Why in the world would anyone have a "SECRET" Genealogy Web site? Isn't the purpose of putting it on the web is for other's to view? DUH!!! SOUNDS LIKE A SCAM TO ME!!!!........ ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jeff Davis" <jeffrey.davis41@verizon.net> To: <OHWASHIN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, January 24, 2004 2:12 PM Subject: Re: [OHWASH] GENEALOGY DETECTIVE > Debbie, > > I purchased this software last year and was very displeased with not only > the product, but the company. 3. Probably part of the same scam that from genealogy scam that has been going around. One guy was arrested not long ago, but he must be back out because I got some more emails from his "company" again. You cannot reach them through email. Once you sign up, that is it. They have your money and change addresses and names frequently. Use names like GenSeekers, GenConnect, Genlocator, etc. Dana Here is a copy of an email I got from my PA list: Were You Victimized by This Genealogy Scam Artist ? > > I have written a number of times about GenSeekers.
