Beverly Dispatch August 29 1919 Sudden Death of Former Resident Emmet Hugh Newton, formerly of this city , died Tuesday, August 26, at the home of his cousin, Washington Newton, of near Beverly, whom he had been visiting. Mr. Newton had been in poor health for some time, and was to have soon entered the hospital fro treatment. On August 29, 1878, he was united in marriage with Ada M. Clark, three children wee born to this union, two daughters , Mrs. Lewis, of this city, and Mrs. Corp, of Cleveland, and one son, C. C. Newton, of this city. Besides the wife and children there are six grandchildren who mourn his death. Mr. Newton was a member of the Christian Church, and had been employed at the Marietta Chair Company as might watchman. Funeral services will be held at the home of Mrs. Lewis, Ferry Street, Friday afternoon at two o’clock and burial will be made in Beverly Cemetery. Linda LRHall175@aol.com
