Beverly Dispatch May 29, 1919 Katie Stollar Wood Katie Stollar Wood, eldest daughter of Daniel and Nancy Stollar was born in Washington County Pa. March 9, 1840, and departed this life at her home near Center, Waterford Township, O. May 29, 1919, aged 79 years, 2 months and 20 days. In September 1854 she with her parents emigrated to Washington County, Ohio to farm in Palmer Township when but 14 years of age, residing at the present home for more than 50 years. On November 13, 1866 she was married to Lysander Wood and to them were given four children; Charlie, Omer, and Lester of the home and Mrs. May Dixon of Center, all of whom are living, the husband and father have departed this life on July 3, 1905. Being of a retired home loving nature, the beauty of her character was most fully revealed to those of hr own household. Beside the four children, two sisters Mrs. Phebe Breckenride of Barlow, Mrs. Mary Zumboro of Waterford, and one brother, Aden Stollar of Oakland California, with a number of relatives mourn the loss of a dearly lived mother and sister.
